Indian classical dance training in Mylapore, Chennai – since 1996

The Academy of Kathak and Bharatanatyam offers comprehensive training in the two classical Indian dance forms – kathak and bharatanatyam – for students of all age groups and backgrounds, both local and international.

Established in 1996 in Mylapore, Chennai, the academy functions under the expert guidance of Vidwan Dr. Shri P. R. Venkata Subramanian, affectionately known as KeyboardSubbu, a renowned lyricist and music composer.

Dance training is led by guru Smt. Lakshmi Kannan, who brings with her rich experience and deep understanding of the art forms. The curriculum not only emphasizes performance but also offers a well-rounded education that includes:
